Fly away...

Rosie, showing nursing pups are no impediment to true ball-obsession.

Come Fly with me, come Fly...

Hmm, this one’s going to be harder to pass off as a cattle dog-cross… maybe she’s a papillon-kelpie-mix…

Yes, this is the Flygirl. Born November 8th, she’s already well-travelled, having arrived from Scotland in utero. Fly’s mum is the lovely (and ball-obsessed) Rosie 254443 (out of Neil Gillon’s Meg 235525, by David Brady’s Craig 201416), and her dad is a Welsh dog, son of Stuart Davidson’s Star 211076.

Fly likes:
  • people,
  • toys, especially tennis balls,
  • other dogs, especially Bill and Muddy,
  • biting, shredding,
  • chasing things, stalking and pouncing, staring
  • eating (preferably her own body weight at each sitting).

She dislikes:
  • being ignored or left alone,
  • nasty cattle dogs that won’t let her chew their ears,
  • crates

When Fly grows up, she's going to be a sheepdog, working on the farm and running in trials, and playing agility on her days off. And maybe one day she'll have a bunch of little Australian ISDS-registered papillon-kelpie-mixes of her own...
